3 THINGS I WANT TO LEARN TO DO

1) SPEAK ANOTHER LANGUAGE...
Being an individual that can only speak English, the worlds third largest language by number of native speakers, feels lazy to me. I have always found bi-/multilingual people very impressive and have had the desire to be bi-/multilingual myself, but no drive to learn over the years whatsoever (the Spanish lessons in year 7, 8 and 9 where I learnt how to count to ten do not count). Of course, learning a new language from scratch is extremely complex and cannot be done overnight, but I urge myself to at least become mildly fluent in a new language - perhaps Spanish, as it would be the most beneficial, or French, as I admire the beauty of the language and have a huge place in my heart for France. Sign language is also something i'd love to learn.

2) PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT...
Although it sounds super cliche, I would love to play guitar and be talented at it. I think the guitar is the most soothing instrument and also a very versatile one, as it can cater pretty much any kind of tune. I can imagine that free styling on your own with a guitar is not only a really fun and cool pastime, but probably quite a good stress relief method. I played the piano at a young age and had a handful of trumpet lessons in primary school, but that only made me realise that instruments weren't really naturally my strong point.

3) POLE DANCING...
First impressions to this one are usually negative as it often has sexual associations, however pole dancing is actually a very skillful sport and an incredible form of fitness. Pole dancing requires significant strength, muscular endurance and coordination, and sensuality. I think what entices me to want to learn how to pole dance is how challenging it is as a physical activity and that not many people can do it; I have a lot of experience in dance from throughout my life but have never done something as challenging as this genre, which urges me to try it out.
